An organic sunscreen lotion base made of NSF certified organic ingredients with natural zinc oxide sunblock added. Our premium quality SPF 30 lotion is thick and it uses non-nanoparticle zinc oxide which is the size/type you don’t have to worry about entering your bloodstream. Zinc oxide sits on the surface of your skin and provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection.

A full-body sunscreen lotion. Family safe, kid-safe. 
Can it be used on the face? Yes, but facial sunscreen formulas are different and some (women) will prefer a separate facial sunscreen formula.

Naturally Thick!  We offer a very specific type of sunscreen lotion - it is for customers who want an organic lotion base with non-nanoparticle zinc oxide, providing SPF 30 broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection. Thick, our lotion was formulated/designed this way, to be thick at room temperature and then thin at skin temperature for application. There is no water added to our formula, and no fillers. - If the professionals who created this formula simply added more natural oils for a thinner lotion at room temperature, it would then have a greasier texture at body temperature.
 
No Oxybenzone, no octinoxate or any other chemical sunscreen, this is a coral reef safe sunscreen lotion. 
 
Our sunblock formula is certified organic by NSF, it's Made in the USA in an FDA certified facility, and then professionally SPF tested (rated at 30) and water-resistant tested (rated at 80 minutes) post-production for verification.
 
Zinc oxide is known to leave a white shadow?
Yes, but the white shadowing effect can be greatly minimized with proper application. All sunblock/sunscreens that truly use non-nano zinc oxide have some white shadowing. In fact, it is inevitable because that is how mineral sunblock works, it is the compromise we make for using this natural and proven effective mineral sunblock that provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection.  
 
Chemical sunscreens are popular with some because they are practically invisible, readily available, and go on super-fast, but there is a tradeoff – there are some health concerns associated with the common ingredients in these chemical sunscreens. We think of chemical sunscreens like fast food - you’re grateful for the convenience but you know there are consequences
 
Zinc Oxide vs Chemical Sunscreens like Oxybenzone
 
Physical sunscreen works differently than chemical sunscreens. Zinc Oxide is a mineral (physical) sunscreen that works by sitting on top of the skin to reflect, deflect and scatter damaging UV rays away from the skin. 
 
Chemical sunscreens contains carbon-based compounds, such as oxybenzone, octinoxate, octisalate and avobenzone. These ingredients create a chemical reaction within your skin that changes UV rays into heat.
